Rüdiger Suchsland
Rüdiger Suchsland is a film journalist and film critic. Following his studies in history and philosophy in Munich, he worked as a freelance journalist for cultural affairs in various publications. Since 1998, he has mainly served as a film critic, for media including the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, film-dienst, Telepolis, Deutschlandfunk, Die Welt, Frankfurter Rundschau and the Berliner Zeitung.
Since 1997, he has written for the film magazine artechock. He has been a member of the management committee of the German film critics’ association (VDFK e.V.) and currently serves on its advisory board.
